Experienced and Knowledgeable
Matt began his legal career with a keen interest for labor and employment law. Today he has significant experience in the field, especially on the public sector side.
Prior to joining our team, he worked for the State Employment Relations Board as an attorney. In this capacity, he often led trainings at professional conferences to employers and employee organizations on public sector labor relations and civil service law. Along with drafting SERB opinions and Administrative Law Judge Orders, Matt mediated unfair labor practice cases, conducted legal research, and assisted in the administrative investigation process. In addition to his work at SERB, Matt also clerked for a local labor and employment law firm in Columbus during law school.
As a result of this diverse background, Matt offers clients exceptional proficiency in matters related to Ohio labor law, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, FMLA, workplace privacy, and workers’ compensation.
