Cheri works hard to keep clients in compliance with the thousands of statutes and regulations surrounding the employment relationship. However, when problems arise that can’t be resolved, Cheri is there to protect your interests, regularly practicing in Federal and State trial courts, as well as appellate courts of Ohio. As a litigator, she also represents law enforcement agencies and their employees in civil rights actions such as search and seizure, use of force, jail conditions, and inmate medical concerns.

Cheri has been recognized by her peers in Best Lawyers in America as well as Super Lawyers Rising Star, Cheri successfully represents clients in a wide range of employment lawsuits including unlawful discrimination and harassment, wrongful discharge, First Amendment retaliation charges, and Whistleblower actions. An attorney with the firm since 1995, she’s a member of the Ohio Association of Trial Attorneys and the Public Risk Management Association.
Having hiked the Grand Canyon north to south rim four times, Cheri understands drive and devotion.
Employer and Supervisor Training
Cheri handles employment law matters for a broad range of private businesses, law enforcement agencies, professional organizations and government entities. Helping clients keep employee handbooks, manuals and individual policies updated with important legal developments is a routine part of her day.
To keep clients up to date on responsibilities and expectations, Cheri regularly conducts seminars on Law Enforcement Liability, Unlawful Discrimination and Harassment, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, employee hiring and discipline and other related topics.
